I have created a six session course to support and educate men that are, or have been abused in the domestic setting, the family setting.
Every man is different with different experiences and dreams as well with different ways to deal and to cope with life.
This Course will touch many topics and will offer many hints and tactics to keep ourselves and others safe. But most of all, to make men understand that they do not have to suffer the violence in silence, that it is healthy to express feelings and to ask for help.
The Endeavour Course is created based on my own experience, what I needed when I was dealing with the situation as well as all the missed support and the stigma I have been through.
This Course will offer support to men that find themselves in abusive relationships and those that need to decide if to stay or to leave. We will only ask to know your name and your contact details, only to be used in case of an emergency.
We will keep the course as low key as possible.
The Course is structured in six sessions held in a very informal setting and in inconspicuous places like social clubs, pubs, libraries and so on.
This will be held in two different times of the day to give the chance to the participants to find the most convenient time for their needs.

Although nowadays there is more awareness about male victims of domestic abuse, there are no resources available to the general public and most of the studies on this topic are based on researches done long time ago and often on very small sections of populations.
When this happened to me, I struggled greatly to find support that would be specifically created for me as a man and I did find several barriers in my path.
The Endeavour Project is a pool of stories, information , hints and examples of how other survivors have learned to handle and to respond to domestic abuse.
The Project is created by real experiences of real people.
This to show that you are not alone and to help us step away from "textbook" information; we all know that life is different for everybody and that domestic abuse affect everybody in different ways.
The Endeavour Project has only one requirement, it is created by men for men, no distinction of race, religion or sexual orientation.
The Endeavour Project stem from the desire to create a community, a safe space for all the men that have encountered domestic abuse.
Nowadays society tells us to behave, act, look, think...in a certain way. There is a construct to which we "need" to comply; I found that this was the first major obstacle for me and I want this to change.
The Endeavour Project will be a "pool of knowledge" of experiences of unedited stories from men. A confession box, if you like, where we share anonymously our stories and experiences for others to learn, to understand they are not alone, for all the men that have encountered domestic abuse, to be seen, eared and be part of a community with no judgement, shame or discrimination of any sort.
The project will run online, latching to as many outlets as possible from councils to schools and more.
All the stories will only be edited in case of offensive language but the strive is to "keep it real" as much as possible. men support domestic abuse domestic abuse course men men domestic abuse
